English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were announced live on a popular morning radio program.

The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be aired from 19:00 GMT.

The Football Star

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
