Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August valued at $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are expected, as the firm aiming to disclose complete information via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Previous updates stated the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the organization employed almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 contract workers.
The organization has not provided a response to a request for comment.
